Turtle talk brings community together for conservation in Ramsgate
The event raised much-needed funds, which will go towards ongoing conservation and awareness efforts.
The recent turtle talk in Ramsgate was a wonderful success.
The event was well supported by residents, conservation supporters, and families, all coming together with a shared passion for protecting our marine environment.
The evening was both educational and inspiring, with engaging discussions around sea turtle conservation, local wildlife, and the important role communities play in protecting these endangered species.
A special highlight of the night was guest speaker, Santosh Bachoo from Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, who shared valuable insights and firsthand knowledge that left attendees informed and motivated.
The three out of 1000 statistic highlights the extreme challenges these hatchlings face from natural and human-induced threats along the coastline.
Ramsgate Conservancy thanked the sponsors and the generosity of everyone who attended. The event successfully raised much-needed funds, which will go towards ongoing conservation and awareness efforts.
