Coffee morning strengthens community crime-fighting partnership in Uvongo
The session allowed for valuable sharing of knowledge and information.
The Uvongo Community Police Forum (UCPF) hosted a well-attended coffee morning at the Saints View conference room, bringing together members of the community, law enforcement and private security companies for an informative and productive session.
The event, themed get to know your local crime prevention team, provided residents with an opportunity to learn more about how different role-players work together to ensure the safety and security of people living in and visiting the area.
According to UCPF chairperson Erick Labuschagne, the morning highlighted the strong cooperation between the various security and law enforcement branches. He said the session allowed for valuable sharing of knowledge and information, helping to strengthen the partnership between authorities, the private security sector and residents.
Labuschagne thanked all those who participated, including programme manager Stephen Herbst, Saps Colonel Ntombizanele Mzotho from Vispol, Captain Pieter Classen from Crime Information Management and Analysis Centre, Superintendent Sfiso Ngcaku from Ray Nkonyeni Municipality’s Law Enforcement, Ugu Security’s Mthoko Mkhoma and representatives from Wolf Security.
