Ugu office in Oslo Beach temporarily closed
Municipal services remain uninterrupted, and customers can continue to receive assistance at the Port Shepstone offices at 28 Connor Street.
The Ugu District Municipality Customer Services Centre in Oslo Beach is temporarily closed to facilitate planned refurbishment aimed at enhancing the facility for both customers and employees.
However, the Herald received information that the building has been deemed unsafe. “The building has cracks, and those cracks are visible from outside, thus posing a danger of structural failure. One can clearly see, while on Marine Drive, that part of the side roofing has fallen off, ” said a resident, who did not wish to be named.

“As part of its ongoing facilities management programme, Ugu periodically undertakes maintenance and improvement works at its municipal buildings. The temporary closure forms part of this process to enable the scheduled refurbishment, ” said Ugu spokesperson, Zimbini Mpurwana.
Municipal services remain uninterrupted, and customers continue to receive assistance at the Port Shepstone offices at 28 Connor Street. Operation times are from 07:30 to 16:00. The Ugu call centre can be contacted on 0800-092-837.
