New captain joins Umkomaas Saps
Captain Zudumo Nontokozo Yona will be working with members who helped achieve the Best Police Station of the Year award.
Newly promoted Captain Zudumo Nontokozo Yona has joined the Umkomaas Saps team.
Members stated that her appointment to visible policing marks a significant addition to an already high performing station.
Yona, a commissioned officer, brings with her over 20 years of functional policing expertise, having climbed the ranks to her current office.
She holds an Honours Degree in Policing, four Saps medals and has completed various Saps courses to enhance her capacity.
Beyond her accolades, she is described as an excellent ambassador of Break The Silence and gender-based violence and femicide.
She is expected to reinforce frontline policing with ethical governance, compliance and effective support.
Yona is wished well at her post.
