Sea Park to Umtentweni beach clean-up set for this Sunday
Residents, families and local businesses are urged to support the initiative and help protect the South Coast’s coastline.
Residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and make a difference at a beach clean-up taking place this Sunday (March 22), from 15:00 to 17:00.
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Port Shepstone in partnership with the Bendigo Conservancy, the clean-up will start at Sea Park Beach parking, at the end of 1st Avenue at 15:00.

Volunteers will walk along the shoreline, collecting litter, and finish at Umtentweni Beach parking, at the end of Marine Drive, at 17:00.
Refuse bags will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves and refreshments.
Those wanting to take part are asked to RSVP to Dee on 071 8662129.

Meanwhile, the conservancy and Rotary Club of Hibiscus Coast fully hosted a Build a Froggie Pond community project last Saturday at B–Cubed Guesthouse, also known as Leka’s.
The hands-on initiative saw volunteers come together to create a frog-friendly pond aimed at boosting local biodiversity and providing a safe habitat for amphibians.
Learners from Creston College arrived ready to assist with digging and groundwork in a true community effort.
