Charity run in Uvongo raises over R5 000

Members of South Coast Striders also joined in.

More than 100 people supported the CHOC run/walk in Uvongo on Easter Monday (April 5).

The morning’s efforts resulted in R5 133 being raised to help children fighting cancer.

Some thoughtful women also donated much needed bedding that will be given to CHOC at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in Durban.

It's all smiles from Kamie Pillay as she heads to the finish.

Initially, the turnout was slow because of the weather. However, by the official start time, the numbers had risen.

Members of South Coast Striders finished their early morning run in time to register for the charity run and also hand in their donations.
