Acclaimed South African acoustic guitarist Nibs van der Spuy is set to return to Southbroom and Pennington, for two special performances to celebrate his 60th birthday.
Nibs’s musical journey began over four decades ago while attending Benoni High. “I picked up my dad’s old nylon string guitar in 1980 and started teaching myself from a Beatles book. I was instantly hooked and began performing my own songs as early as 1982,” he recalls.
Now residing in Portugal, Nibs runs a successful cycling touring company, Vera Cruz Cycling Tours, where he takes small groups on incredible cycling adventures through the picturesque rural landscapes. However, he is thrilled to return to the South Coast, for two special 60th birthday celebration concerts.
