People came out in their numbers to support the Autism Acceptance Colour Run hosted by the Local Loop in Umtentweni recently.
As April is Autism Acceptance Month, the event highlighted that individuals on the Autism Spectrum will never walk alone.
Sikelela Madwansi of Shelly Beach whose daughter Alu is autistic and attends CS Learning Learning Centre, asked the centre to organise an awareness event.
“Most people think that our children are ill mannered and spoiled, as they lack information on the condition,” she said.
