Coastal swim to raise funds for Lower South Coast SPCA
The swim is from Shelly Ski Boat Bay to Lucien Beach on May 2.
Christo van Rooyen is set to once again take on a demanding coastal swim, this time in aid of the Lower South Coast SPCA.
Van Rooyen will swim from Shelly Ski Boat Bay to Lucien Beach on May 2 at 08:00, in a fundraising effort aimed at supporting the SPCA’s ongoing work in the fight against animal cruelty and the care of vulnerable animals.
The initiative invites members of the public to support or donate, with all funds raised going directly towards the organisation’s animal welfare efforts.
Van Rooyen is no stranger to long-distance ocean challenges.
In November last year, he completed an eight-mile swim from Shelly Beach to Margate to raise funds for NSRI Shelly Beach.
