Tweni 2’s set to bring sun, surf and fun

Walk, surf, play and party - the Tweni 2’s beach experience on Saturday, June 13, promises a full day of family fun.

South Coasters can look forward to a full day of beachside fun, music and community connection when the Tweni 2’s beach experience on June 13.

The event promises something for everyone, from early-morning surfing and family-friendly beach activities to live music, special offers, and an evening DJ party.
Adding to the community vibes, the popular Local Loop walking and jogging group will kick off the day with its regular 08:00 gathering at the Tweni Centre (old JTV Centre).

Catch talented Clarissa Pienaar, the lead singer of the band Funky Uncle Charlie's Kittens.

 Loopers who join the relaxed community walk or jog will receive a special discount card to enjoy breakfast at Tweni 2 afterwards.

The Tweni 2’s beach experience programme begins with surfing from 07:30 to 15:00. Top surfers will battle it out for first place. Last year Chad du Toit and Travis Logie (Town Clown Killas) scooped first place. Chad has won four times, is there anyone that can stop him this year?

Children can enjoy a variety of beach activities from 08:00, including beach soccer, a sandcastle competition, treasure hunts and beach games.

A pensioners’ happy hour special starts at 13:00, followed by live music from 13:30 until 22:30 featuring a lineup of local talent.

The celebrations continue into the night with DJs taking over from 22:30 until 02:00.

With sun, sand, surf, music and community spirit all on offer, organisers are encouraging residents and visitors alike to make a day of it at Tweni 2’s.
