The peaceful protest from Marburg to Port Shepstone saw hundreds of people join in.
March and March leaders, business people, community leaders as well as community members marched peacefully from Marburg to Port Shepstone to protest against illegal foreigners in South Africa.
Leader of the organisation on the South Coast, Sabelo Cele, said the message is clear that all illegal foreigners must vacate the country.

Cele said even from rural areas and townships, all illegal foreigners must leave.
“If you are a resident in KwaNdwalane and KwaMavundla and you have illegal foreigners renting a shop from you, please ask them to leave as soon as possible.”
Another community leader from Gamalakhe, Zwe ‘Somnyama’ Chiliza said the march was to make a statement that as from tomorrow (June 16) people who do not belong here should leave.
“By June 30 we want our town clean. We have other issues to address on June 30, not just the illegal foreigners, but also what they bring into our country. When they leave on the day, they must leave with their drugs.”

Felemntwini Gumede from Harding who is also one of the leaders of March and March joined in, and addressed the gathering outside the Department of Home Affairs in Port Shepstone.
