Fossil walk to explore Mzamba's ancient secrets
Ever wondered what secrets lie hidden beneath the South Coast's rocky shoreline?
Nature enthusiasts and history lovers are invited to take part in a guided winter Mzamba fossil walk and talk on Saturday, July 4.
Hosted by the Umtamvuna Marine Conservancy, the event will be led by well-known conchologist (shell collector) and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Honorary Officer, Debbie King.

Explorers will meet at the Wild Coast Sun Waterworld car park at 10:30, coinciding with low tide, providing ideal conditions to explore the coastline and discover the area’s fascinating geological history.
The walk promises an educational and enjoyable experience, with attendees learning about shells, fossils and the natural heritage of the Mzamba coastline.
The cost is R50 per person. Wear sensible walking shoes, and bring a hat, water and a snack.
