Coast 2 Coast clean-up heads to Port Shepstone

It's school holidays, so bring the children and support the clean-up tomorrow (Wednesday) at 09:00.

The national Coast 2 Coast 2026 in Six beach clean-up campaign will make its Port Shepstone stop tomorrow (Wednesday, July 15), inviting residents to help protect the coastline from marine litter.

The clean-up will begin at 09:00 from The Block in Port Shepstone as part of Save a Fishie’s nationwide campaign, which has been restructured into six regional clean-up events across South Africa during 2026.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to take part, with bags and gloves provided.

Environmental activist Zoë Prinsloo, founder of Save a Fishie, said the campaign aims to unite communities in removing litter from South Africa’s beaches while raising awareness of the impact plastic pollution has on marine life.

Residents wishing to lend a hand can simply arrive at The Block before the clean-up begins.
