The slight delay at the start did nothing to dampen the mood in Round 2 of the Ugu Tennis Association’s 190s tournament on August 8.
The weather turned out to be just about perfect, and some wonderful tennis was played.
Not much could separate the Smash Masters and Salt & Twitters, with a shootout required to settle the matter after both ended on 33 points apiece, and without any original team penalties.
The match was won 5-4 by the Smash Masters.
Games were played at Uvongo and Douglas Mitchell tennis clubs.
Next round is at Umtentweni Tennis Club on August 15.
