#BestOfSouthCoast: Vote and win

This week’s edition of the Herald features the all-important 12-page voting feature.

What started with excitement and renewed passion for the 15th Best of the South Coast Readers’ Choice Awards, has just kept getting bigger and better.

Balloons and bunting kicked things off in May when the sales team took the show on the road to extend the reach of the competition across the entire South Coast. They introduced the competition to businesses and readers up and down the coast and inland to Harding, handing out complimentary Herald copies to boost interest. “This has resulted in a huge success as we received many nominations for businesses in those areas. We are now in the final phase of the competition and we urge our readers to vote for their best businesses across 122 categories,” said advertising representative, Liz Abrahams.

This week’s edition of the Herald features the all-important 12-page voting feature. This is the only week in which the form will be printed inside the newspaper. Fill out the entry on an original copy of the newspaper, select your best businesses and submit your votes by placing your entry into one of several competition boxes placed at various points along the South Coast.

Voting can also be done online at Best of South Coast.
This second and final phase of the competition closes on July 31 at 17:00. Thereafter auditors Chantell Elliott and Associates will validate the results and confirm the winners in each category.

The winning businesses will be contacted at the end of August and a special winners’ supplement will officially confer the title of the Best of the South Coast to the winning businesses later in September.

For readers, there’s every reason to cast your vote, with even more prizes than last year. Every valid voter is automatically entered into the competition’s lucky draw, where R8,000 is up for grabs in cash prizes. But the first prize of R5000, 2nd prize of R2000 and 3rd prize of R1000 is not the only enticement.

This year, an assortment of sponsors have boosted the competition with some attractive prizes. These include:

* Lake Eland weekend stay valued at R5000 and Zipline ticket R575

* Baby Blue Houseboat weekend voucher R3200

* The Riverside Wild Coast tube ride for four and private cruise with bottle of sparkling wine R2220

* Multi Furniture and Appliances gift voucher R1500

* Astron Umtentweni petrol voucher R1500

* Southcoast Mall shopping voucher R1500

So don’t delay, vote today!

The South Coast Herald wishes all the finalists the best.
