Bronwyn Tanner – Tuning In: Support magical open gardens in Pennington

Well known garden expert and TV personality Tanya Visser will be at the event.

It’s back to school. I’m sure there are some folk who are doing the unrestrained dance of joy; and some not so much.

Tidy Towns Pennington invites the community to open gardens/night gardens. Get ready for an enchanting, magical evening under the stars while supporting the beautification of our town.
It takes place at 38 Cherry Lane, Pennington on Friday, August 21, from 15:00 until 20:00. The gates close at 16:00. Parking is available in Impahle Road. There is a car guard in attendance.
The highlights include an entertaining talk by Tanya Visser (well known garden expert and TV personality) and plenty of exciting items. The ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine, a delicious curry dinner, live music with Gypsey Girl, lucky draws and prizes. Tickets are R250 per person and can be purchased at Post Script, Pennington. For more information, contact 074-977-2266.

Pennington Community Watch meets at Pennington Ski Boat Club this Thursday (23rd), from 17:00.

Chantelle Cubit of ScottNET thanks all for the wonderful response received towards their Mandela Day dog food donation drive for 4 Paws and a Tale. The aim was to collect 67 items of dog food, and they were able to exceed that total and collected 137 items. She thanks all involved in this year’s collection in making a difference.

The NG Kerk Scottburgh is hosting its annual golf day soon, to raise funds for the congregation. The last three years was a great success (more than 40 top prizes last year) and they are going bigger and better this year! Local businesses are invited to sponsor a tee box and to showcase brands or products at a cost of R1500. For booking, contact the Pro Shop on 039 975-1615.
