Songbirds sing for Anerley Meals on Wheels
The community is encouraged to attend the morning of country music and support a cause that's made a difference to local lives for more than 25 years.
A country-themed morning will be held at the Anerley Service Centre on Thursday, July 30, at 10:00, with all proceeds going towards the Anerley Meals on Wheels programme.
The lovely morning of music and singing will be hosted by The Songbirds, formerly known as the Golden Singers.
Meals on Wheels has served the community from the Anerley Service Centre since 2000, providing nutritious meals to people who are housebound and those unable to afford regular meals.
The Songbirds have long been favourites among local senior citizens, regularly entertaining audiences while supporting the Meals on Wheels programme.
Their upcoming country-themed event aims to raise much-needed funds to help ensure the centre can continue serving vulnerable members of the community.
Everyone is welcome to attend the morning of music and share a cup of tea. Donations are welcome.
Those unable to attend, but wishing to assist can contact Cheryl Oldfield on 072-199-1582 to make a donation or offer support.
