South Coast temples will hold the Sri Ganesha Chaturthi prayer on Monday, September 14.

* The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple invites all to its prayer from 18:30. Devotees can bring offerings. Supper and prasadam will be served. For further information, contact Kevin Govender on 083-375-3876 or Leon Govender on 073-195-1102.

* The Shree Raam Narayan Temple Society will observe its celebration at 18:00. Contact Rocky Ramsing on 072-179-2947 for more information.

* Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir’s invocation prayer, recitals and hawan will start at 18:00. For further information, contact Veena Lakhan on 067-068-8282.

* The Port Shepstone Tamil Association Shiva Alayam’s prayer starts at 18:00. Devotees are welcome to make their offerings. For more information, contact Radha on 071-483-5568.

* Umzimkulwana Shri Siva Soobramoniar Temple will gather at 13:00. For more information, contact Sastri on 073-613-7736.

He was to the newspaper industry born, his late father working at the South Coast Herald back in the days when black and white photographs were still being used. Sugan has been with Caxton for close to three decades, having started as a weekend photographer, straight out of school. He soon showed his skill in hard news reporting and has, over the years, added to his repertoire, with motoring now one of his important beats. He is always willing to go the extra mile, especially if it's to test drive a new vehicle. He supports the Proteas, Springboks and Manchester United.
