Marburg Primary embraces digital age with state-of-the-art computer laboratory
It gives learners the chance to explore new knowledge and develop valuable skills.
Marburg Primary School now has a state-of-the-art computer laboratory, thanks to a generous donation from SA Hope, a non-profit organisation.
The fully equipped laboratory will provide learners with greater access to technology and opportunities to develop essential digital skills.
SA Hope donated 21 desktop computers, 21 headphones, 40 chairs, a printer, a projector, a projector screen, a whiteboard and two air conditioners valued at R300 000.
The laboratory also received a much-needed facelift, with the walls and desks freshly painted, creating a bright, welcoming and comfortable environment for teaching and learning.
The event was attended by Saps, the Department of Education, the Department of Health, principals from neighbouring schools, business owners, SSGB representatives, and community leaders.

SA Hope was represented by Johnny Zhuang (CEO), Arshud Shaik (CFO), Kabelo Lehobo (director), Amy Lin (marketing director), Gift Matsheka (project coordinator) and Nazreen Shaik (operations manager).
“For many learners, the computer laboratory represents more than just a room filled with equipment. It represents opportunity, possibility and hope for a brighter future. It gives learners the chance to explore new knowledge, develop valuable skills and prepare themselves for further education and future careers. Marburg Primary sincerely thanks SA Hope for its generosity, commitment and investment in the future of our learners. This contribution will have a lasting impact on the school and the children we serve,” said acting principal Glad Naidoo.
