It currently boasts an enrolment of 915 learners from Grade R to Grade 7. Principal Dayalan Govender currently leads an experienced team of 31 educators.

The school has planned three exciting events to celebrate the historical event.

The 70th platinum jubilee celebration kicks off with a gala dinner and dance this Saturday (13th).

Lucky draw prizes to the value of R8 000, from a weekend away, spa vouchers, data and cellphone packages have been acquired from generous sponsors. Programme director Renaye Naidoo and Trinity Entertainment will provide the night’s toe tapping music and dance.

Former MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs in KwaZulu-Natal, Ravi Pillay, who has long-standing ties with the community of Port Shepstone will be the guest speaker.

A scrumptious three-course halaal and vegetarian meals will be provided. Tickets are R300 each and are available at the school or from staff members.

The event promises to be an evening of fun, dance and a trip down memory lane. The school urges the community and well wishers to join them in celebrating the milestone.

A Debs ball will take place on October 22 and the jubilee celebrations will culminate in a treat for learners on October 28.
