Police discuss bullying with PS Senior Primary learners

Constable Sakhile Nzama was a very inspirational speaker and was able to connect with the learners.

The Grade 4 learners of Port Shepstone Senior Primary visited Beaver Creek Coffee Estate & Roastery and Pure Venom as part of their excursion last week.

The learners were given a tour of the coffee farm and learnt about the processes involved in making coffee. They were also given an opportunity to sample the coffee. During their exploration at Pure Venom, the learners were briefed about the different types of snakes.

They also watched the crocodiles being fed. The very brave learners were allowed to hold a baby crocodile and a python. They enjoyed the experience and left feeling exhilarated.
On the sporting side, U14 volleyball trials took place at the Marburg volleyball courts last Friday. Eighteen learners were selected to participate. Names of the learners who have advanced to the next level will be announced in due course.

Constable Sakhile Nzama and Snenhlanhla Maphumulo from the Saps Youth Desk visited the school recently, where they addressed learners at the assembly. The main topics discussed were bullying and body shaming.
Constable Nzama was a very inspirational speaker and was able to connect with the learners. The learners were captivated by the presentation. The school thanks both members for visiting. The Saps Youth Desk can be contacted on 079 5001191.
