Creston learners display creative talents

Those who are awarded the highly sought-after Kryptonite award may be invited to form part of the subsequent national Kryptonite Concert.

Curro Arts Superhero (CAS) is an internal creative mentorship platform within Curro with a grading element, where learners from Grades 4 to 12, as well as staff are encouraged to discover, develop, and display their inherent creative talents.

Creston College‘s performers did remarkably well at the CAS event, which took place at Curro Hillcrest where the following awards were given. Participation (0% – 64%), Bronze Tiger (65% – 74.9%), Silver Surfer (75% – 84.9%), Black Raven (85% – 94.9%) and Kryptonite (95% – 100%).

The College Phase and Senior Primary Marimba band’s Anela Vundla, Ande Kango, Kayla Niemandt and Michael Potgieter all received Kryptonite certificates and badges for their performances. Those who are awarded this highly sought-after Kryptonite award may be invited to form part of the subsequent national Kryptonite Concert.
Further the following were awarded: College Phase: 6 Participation, 24 Bronze Tiger, 22 Silver Surfer, 21 Black Raven awards.

Senior Primary Phase: 5 Participation, 14 Bronze Tiger, 9 Silver Surfer, 5 Black Raven.
Three staff from the College Phase received Black Raven awards, namely Micaela van Heerden, Anzel Beukes and Wilmine Jansen van Vuuren. Congratulations to all the entrants who took part.
