Learning life skills at Megan du Plessis
Learners are taught cleaning, baking, cooking and gardening.
At the Megan Du Plessis Special Needs Centre, they do more than just teach their learners academics.
“Teaching our students some basic life skills such as cleaning, baking, cooking and gardening, are also a standard practise in our daily routines,” said Ansophie du Plessis.
She said their learners love and enjoy this, not only does it teach them basic steps to get through everyday life, it also gives them a sense of independence, and that is an amazing feeling for anyone to experience.
