Creston College recently celebrated its honours and awards ceremonies, highlighting remarkable learner achievements.
Grade 12 learner, Meriqè Pillay was the star of the show, receiving the prestigious Bhagwandeen Trust Trophy – Dux Award.
Dallin Naicker secured the title of runner-up to Dux. Both boys recently received their Honours with Tie Awards, for achieving a remarkable year-to-date aggregate of 90% academically.
Outstanding learners from Grades 8-11 were also acknowledged in a separate ceremony. Top in their respective grades are Athule Mbili (Grade 8), Alulo Flatela (Grade 9), Priyanka Judnarain (Grade 10) and Aarav Maharaj (Grade 11).
Top sports achievers are Emir Sahli (junior half colours in athletics), Siyanda Jwara (junior full colours in athletics), Dhilan Muzenda and Michael Potgieter (half colours in athletics) and Simone van Heerden (half colours in hockey).
Top cultural achievers were Kirsty Jackson and Jamie-Lee Rogers (drama half colours) and Kayla Niemandt and Ande Kango (drama full colours).
