Creston achieves in diverse activities

It has been a busy week for learners.

Creston College‘s group 5 learners embarked on an action learning captivating world tour exploring England, Italy, France and Switzerland.

From scones in England to pizza in Italy, baguettes in France and a Swiss adventure, the children embraced diverse cultures.

In sports, cricket highlights featured convincing victories and notable performances against Kokstad Junior and Izotsha for the senior primary cricket teams.

The junior primary enjoyed engaging activities like Number Sense math lessons, chess challenges for Grade 3s and Grade 2s embracing typing lessons. Additionally, educators attended a Number Sense course, enhancing teaching methodologies.

The South Coast Gymnastics Club saw Grade 4 standouts, namely Liyathandwa Makongwana and Clara Basel, winning gold and silver medals. Dazzling ballet performances by Grade 11 learners Madison Sayers and Amy Engelbrecht were a delight, with a special showcase titled ‘Moonlight Sonata’.

Meanwhile, Julee de Mellion’s radiant debut in the RAD Pre-Primary Ballet exam showcased impressive skills, making Creston proud.

Gemma Allchin’s personal fundraising outreach initiative (swimming 100km) for South Coast Hospice and Kira Attfield’s podium placements in dance competitions added a heart-warming touch.
