Merlewood celebrates excellence
The school hall was filled with parents at the awards function.
Merlewood Primary held a prestigious awards day at the school on Monday last week.
Learners were awarded for their outstanding contributions to academic excellence. The purpose of the awards day was to highlight and honour those who have made strides in reading, sports and academics.
Learners were awarded certificates, medals and trophies according to their performance. An astounding attendance of near 300 parents that filled the school hall caused the celebrations of the achievers to reverberate through the walls and onto the school ground.
