Significant milestone for Creston’s Grade 8s
The learners received their ties, symbolising their transition into the College Phase (high school).
The Grade 8 Tie and Signing In Ceremony held last Tuesday, was a significant milestone in the journey of Creston College‘s Grade 8s.
They received their ties, symbolising their transition into the College Phase (high school), and participated in a memorable signing ceremony where they affirmed their commitment to uphold the school’s values and ethos.
The College Phase swimming team excelled at the inter-schools gala, winning overall with notable record-breaking performances by Gemma Allchin and Declan Middleton. Additionally, several learners made the Ugu hockey team, showcasing the school’s strong start to the season.
Altogether Creston has 10 high school hockey players that have made the Ugu team, namely, Megan Pretorius (U14), Ngcebo Mazwi (U14), Alexander Muzenda (U14), Gabriella Mendes da Silva (U16), Lexan-Lee Milner (U16), Simoné van Heerden (U18), Melissa Bense (U18), Amy Engelbrecht (U18), Michael Potgieter (U18) and Ande Kango (U18).
The school recently had the junior primary beach walk, an annual tradition at the start of every year. The families in the phase enjoyed a delightful stroll from Lucien beach to Margate beach, followed by a wonderful picnic.
