Hlanganani enjoys varied activities
Swimming is going well, the learners are learning about water safety and how to swim.
Hlanganani Preparatory had a fun Friday with crazy hair day recently.
Everyone had a smile on their faces as they saw who had crazy hair, as plenty of wigs, hair dye and crazy styles were on display.
Yolande Phielix from Scripture Union also blessed the Grade 7 learners with Bibles. They were happy to receive a Bible and look forward to reading it, to help them this year. Thanks to Scripture Union and Yolande.
Swimming is going well, the learners are learning about water safety and how to swim. These are life-long skills that will help keep them safe.
Learners also enjoyed being part of World Read Aloud Day recently, and loved the story about the lost kitten in isiZulu and English. They were excited to be part of the global movement.
The school celebrated Valentine’s Day in style and learners were asked to create gift cards, poems and stories. They were able to learn and at the same time enjoy the day.
Learners wore red and white civvies last Thursday. As it was a fundraising day, plenty of food and refreshments were on sale. There was a concert for learners who wanted to participate in dance, lip sync and a modelling extravaganza.
It was a day full of fun and learning activities and ended on a happy note for some learners who received prizes as winners in the competitions.
All the best to the volleyball teams as they participate in the first tournament of the year this Saturday, February 24.
