Many inter-school sports activities took place at Izotsha Primary in the last week.
The U11 and U13 boys and girls soccer teams participated in exciting tournaments at Southcity. There were mixed results, with the teams displaying good manners, sportsmanship, determination and cohesivity.
The following players stood out: Jessica Janse van Vuren (U11A girls), Naledi Gumede (U13A girls), Lethokuhle Magubane and Reece Moynihan (U11A boys) and Jayden Lechki (U13 boys).
The U7 – U14 cross-country team members participated in an inter-school event at Suid-Natal. Runners did well, and many improved their positions from the previous week.
The following learners achieved positions in the top three: Nikita Wiles (U7) second, Angus Bunge (U7) second, Jaxton Fink (U8) second, Jason Viljoen (U9) second, Saien Chetty (U10) first, Olwami Mbhele (U10) second, Deyana Chetty (U12) second, Matthew Evans (U13) second.
The school is proud of Zyev Mahadev, Callum Heydricks and Sphephelo Mlambo who were selected for the SKZN boys’ cricket team.
