Port Shepstone High’s joint winners of the annual junior maths quiz are Arav Maharaj and Fathima Khamissa, who emerged victorious after a rigorous three-round competition.
Their exceptional mathematical skills and strategic thinking were instrumental in securing their shared title.
The competition, open to Grade 8 and 9 learners, aims to cultivate problem-solving abilities and foster a passion for mathematics.
The quiz is generously sponsored by the Epoch and Optima Trusts Maths Challenge Programme, which provides a R1000 Takealot voucher as a prize for the winning contestant.
