Fun activities enjoyed at Merlewood Primary

The Grade R and 1 teachers participated in an engaging three-day workshop.

The Grade 1s at Merlewood Primary are all set for the fourth term.

Learners engaged in a reading session and were exposed to different characters and situations, which encouraged them to be creative and to use their imagination.

Term 3 proved to be a busy yet successful term for Grade 1s.

Learners participated in an excursion to Riverbend Crocodile Farm. They also experienced the excitement of the annual market day that was hosted by the senior phase learners.

Also, learners were involved in various competitions showcasing their unique talents and were privileged to enjoy a special prayer assembly.

The Grade R and 1 teachers participated in an engaging three-day workshop that emphasised coding and robotics.

They enhanced their skills and explored the importance of collaboration, creativity, communication and critical thinking. With coding and robotics being included in the syllabus, they are looking forward to enhancing and strengthening the young minds of the school.
