Jai Hind promotes reading

The Grade 2 book club's programme is aimed at nurturing avid readers.

Jai Hind Primary takes pride in fostering a love for reading among its learners through various activities.

One such initiative is the Grade 2 book club, a programme aimed at nurturing avid readers. The club, held after school, has become a favourite among those learners who display a flair for reading.

The sessions are conducted throughout the year by dedicated volunteer Jané Heydricks. She used creative games, challenging puzzles and art to enhance reading and comprehension skills. Her innovative methods have kept the learners engaged, allowing them to experience reading for fun.

Learners eagerly anticipate book club days, arriving with enthusiasm and excitement.

Parents and teachers have praised the programme for its positive impact on young readers, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in building literacy skills.

It is hoped that this programme will create an environment where reading becomes a lifelong passion.
