PSIS was ranked among the top 5% of Muslim schools in KZN, further cementing the school’s reputation for excellence.
Port Shepstone Islamic School proudly hosted the matriculants of 2024 at the annual matric awards evening in the school hall last Friday.
The event, attended by parents, faculty and learners, was filled with gratitude and reflection as learners celebrated their academic achievements and shared their hopes for the future.
Talha Hasan Musa was named the school’s Dux awardee, while Aaliya Hanief and Abdur Rahman Ndikumana received the respective sports awards.
Muhammad Saleh Zaheer Saied was honoured with the prestigious Good Fellowship award.
In a remarkable achievement, Talha Hasan Musa was recognised at the AMS KZN Top Achiever Award, which he shared with Abdullah Abisola from Al Falaah College.

Additionally, parents attended two informative orientation evenings. These sessions focused on academic expectations, discipline and fostering moral and ethical behaviour, ensuring that both learners and parents are equipped to face the challenges and opportunities of the year ahead.
They are honoured to have a band of dedicated teachers who play an integral role in learners’ successes.
Hafez Muhammad Saleh Saied, Umme Kulsum Patel and Imraan Sardar were also among the top 30 of the AMS KZN awards, a testament to their hard work and commitment.
