Jai Hind embraces interactive storytelling

Reading fosters a lifelong passion for books.

Jai Hind Primary embraced World Read Aloud Day with enthusiasm as teachers brought stories to life in the classroom.

This initiative aimed to inspire a love for reading among learners.

Reading aloud to children has been proven to enhance their imagination, creativity and language skills. It fosters a lifelong passion for books, encouraging young minds to explore new worlds through storytelling.

As part of the celebration, learners engaged in a creative activity by making crafts related to their stories. The interactive storytelling made the event both educational and enjoyable.

Acting principal Bhavashni Kanhai emphasised the importance of reading during a special visit to junior classes, where she engaged with learners by reading to them.

Her initiative aimed to foster a love for books and highlight the role of literacy in early education.
