Merlewood Primary stands up against drugs

Various role players helped spread awareness at the school.

Merlewood Primary recently hosted a drug awareness and anti-bullying campaign.

Members of Saps, the Community Policing Forum and a social worker shared valuable knowledge on making safe and responsible choices.

Learners engaged in discussions on the harmful effects of drugs and the impact of bullying on mental health. They also received lessons on self-respect and discipline, empowering them to stand up against negative influences and promote a culture of kindness and respect.

The campaign emphasised the importance of making informed decisions and seeking help when needed.

Events like these reinforce the school’s commitment to holistic learner development and community well-being.
