Griffen Dore Primary learners celebrate SA's freedom

Posters highlighted key historical moments and short presentations were shared on influential leaders.

At Griffen Dore Primary Grade 7 learners marked Freedom Day on April 27, with a blend of celebration and learning.

They began with an assembly reflecting on the meaning of freedom and the country’s journey to democracy, followed by group discussions about rights and responsibilities.

Learners created posters highlighting key historical moments and shared short presentations on influential leaders.

Traditional songs and dances added a festive spirit, while teachers encouraged thoughtful reflection on unity and diversity. By the end of the day, learners had gained a deeper understanding of Freedom Day and its importance in shaping South Africa’s future.
