Port Shepstone Senior Primary elects new term monitors

In other activities, learners participated in a Mental Maths competition and the district round of the Eskom Expo 2026.

A fresh batch of new monitors were appointed for term two at Port Shepstone Senior Primary, as they took the pledge to serve with dignity and pride. They also promised to harness a culture of unity and dedication.

Also, exciting excursions are planned to be undertaken by all grades.

Twelve learners had qualified in the first round of the Mental Maths competition and represented the school at the Ogwini Circuit Mental Maths Competition which was held on May 5.

Yusra Khan (Grade 4) placed second, Sayuri Parmunsee (Grade 6) came first, while Mohammed Khamissa (Grade 7) placed second, followed by Owenkosi Mdubeki (Grade 7) who came third.

Nine learners participated in the Eskom Expo 2026, district round. Neriah Peeriyalal (Grade 5), Imange Majola (Grade 5), Vashti Naicker (Grade 6), Nikhil Govender (Grade 6), Khloe Praim (Grade 6), Ohana Naidoo (Grade 7), Shriya Dayanand (Grade 7), Mpendulo Mbambo (Grade 7), Keandre Pillay (Grade 7) were thrilled to be exposed to this level of competition.

All learners will proceed to the regional round of the competition which will be held at Creston College on August 7.
