Recycling lesson for learners at Jai Hind Primary

The session covered practical information on identifying recyclable materials and how recycling contributes to waste reduction.

Learners at Jai Hind Primary attended an awareness session on recycling on May 12.

The session was hosted by representatives from SEWEP Recycling, the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs.

During the visit, the teams spoke to learners about waste management and the importance of recycling. Learners participated in a question-and-answer session, and those who answered correctly received gifts.

The session covered practical information on identifying recyclable materials and understanding how recycling contributes to waste reduction.

The officials encouraged responsible waste management in schools.
