One of the residents of our complex approached me to tell me that his house had been entered and he was being robbed at that time.
I couldn’t quite understand how he was still walking around if that was the case, however I phoned Margate SAPS and reported a ‘robbery in progress’.
The response from the police was absolutely outstanding, the first officer arrived on a motorcycle within five minutes or less and six other police vehicles, one with dogs, were there within another few minutes under the command of a captain. I could not believe it.
Fortunately it turned out to be a false alarm, but the speedy response from the Margate SAPS was outstanding. Thank you so much.
