DEAR Editor,-
Our previous published article with regard to ‘watch this space’ for a cleaner, neater, organised Sunwich Port, has materialised to a most-satisfactory high.
A residents’ committee was formed. Our chairman, Sandy Pearson, along with all the other able, willing and enthusiastic members, have given up their time and we have succeeded in our goal with the clean-up.
The attached photo is of our entrance into Sunwnich Port, the gardens were done by Maria Shepherd, one of our committee members. We now have a colourful entrance depicting that we are a ‘rainbow village’.
Sadly, a day later our newly-planted plants were vandalised and our ‘keep Sunwich Port clean’ board was destroyed.
However, Sunwich Port is a close-knit community and continues in its pursuit to keep the suburb clean and organised, along with assistance from our residents and business owners, proudly so. The board is back up and the flowers have been replanted.
‘RAINBOW’ RESIDENT
Sunwich Port
