I have been told that Diwali is the Festival of Lights. Nowhere have they ever mentioned that it is a ‘Festival of Big Bangs’.
I personally have had enough!
Our animals are terrified. Wild animals are leaving our area. Here in Umtentweni we had a pair of fish eagles that had five sets of young. They have left for quieter places.
We used to have porcupines wandering our roads at night. They have gone.
Please please, we have had enough!! Allow the fireworks but without the bangs.
There must be consequences. I suggest one year hard labour if caught!
