DEAR Editor,-
After seeing the shocking photo of the beautiful dog that was caught in a snare in last week’s Herald, I know that most people were stunned by this but surely it should be the job of the councillors to make sure that certain areas of the bush are cleared.
I live in Pumula and lately quite a few animals have gone missing and it’s feared, caught in snares. The condition of the bush areas in Pumula are a disgrace. If people would stop dumping garbage and garden refuse in these areas it would be easier to find and release.
I am not sure who our area councillor is but whoever you are, for the sake of our animals, can’t you please help with this problem.
May the poor dog be out of his misery and pain now.
PAULINE WALTON
