DEAR Editor,-
As a regular reader of the South Coast Herald, I notice there are a lot of complaints against our municipality. Therefore I felt obliged to write this letter of thanks to also bring to light some positive news.
I approached the municipality about the bad condition of our road recently and, within a few days, a whole team of workers was working on all the problems, including potholes, stormwater and kerbing. It is now a pleasure to drive in our area and I am proud of the work the municipality has done.
I would like to give my sincere thanks to, especially, the Storm Water Management Section of the Department of Human Settlement and Infrastructure for its assistance, excellent service and the fantastic job it did, as well as appreciation for going the extra mile. The people responsible included Mbulelo Damoyi (technical officer), William Khawula (stormwater supervisor) and the team, Petros Mntambo, Alfred Mbhele and Khehla Nqoko.
If we start building on the positive approach, we might encourage better overall service in the municipality.
ANGUS ERNEST BLACK
