Could Mr Black intervene on our behalf?

There are so many potholes in such a small area, it could prove hazardous to the unsuspecting.

DEAR Editor,-

I was pleased to read last week that Angus Ernest Black praised the municipality for doing a wonderful job of repairing the potholes in his area.

I would like to ask Mr Black to intervene on my neighbours’ and my behalf with the roads department about Uvongo Drive as we are having no success, despite phone calls, letters and photos to the press.

The first two kilometres of road are excellent and then comes the part where water runs across the road, causing potholes. Incidentally, this water overflow has been going on for well over a year and is definitely the cause of the potholes, which have been filled up once or twice, but the ongoing water problem defeats the purpose.

There are at least twelve potholes in such a very small area that it is impossible to avoid them. For strangers to the road who do not slow down to walking pace, it could be a big disaster.
