Volunteers make positive changes

Little Fanella now has perfect vision and can look forward to leading a perfect life.

DEAR Editor,-

There are still kind people around. I have had the privilege of being involved with Thandumntwana Crèche situated in Bomela, for the past 10 years. I would like to thank all the people and companies who helped us in some form, be it donations, materials or kindness.

Our committee, headed by Hans Basel, made it possible for us as volunteers to make so many positive changes in the community, and I would like to make special mention of Liz Harrison and Ali Piers for their dedication as volunteers.

The one example I would like to mention is that of a little five-year old girl named Fanella Jali, who was born with a severe squint. With the kind help and expert medical attention from Dr Trevor Steyn and support from Richard Mills at Hibiscus Private Hospital, Fanella now has perfect vision and can lead a perfect life! Thank you both so much.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I will no longer be at the crèche, but I would like to encourage continued support for this project. Anyone wanting to help can contact the person in charge, Rosmary Nzimande, at 083 3623262.

Thanking you all once again and may God Bless you all.

LIZ JONES
