Thank you for publishing

It just proves once again that the pen is mightier than the sword.

DEAR Editor,-

As a result of a letter entitled ‘Name and shame traffic offenders’, published in last week’s edition of the South Coast Herald, the owner of the offending BMW contacted the Herald wishing to make amends.

As a result, I subsequently spoke to the woman concerned. Although she maintains she was not the actual driver of the vehicle, she nevertheless apologised most profusely and we came to an amicable agreement insofar as the damage to my wife’s car was concerned.

My thanks to the South Coast Herald for publishing the original letter and a very sincere thank you to Dave Kummeke for originally reporting the incident. It just goes to prove once again that the pen is mightier than the sword.
