I am disgusted at the behavior of the lifeguards on duty at Uvongo Beach recently.While the sea was quite rough and full of holidaymakers, lifeguards were playing ball on the beach without any regard for the dangerous behaviour of bathers who were venturing out too far, straying out of the designated swimming area.
When my husband spoke to them, they clicked their tongues and carried on regardless. I have visited all the beaches in the area and only found this behavior and attitude in Uvongo. All other lifeguards are very busy, actively performing their duties.
