DEAR Editor,-
My wife, son and I were travelling down the R102 past Shelly Centre on March 20 when they decided they needed to do some things in the mall. Off they went and I found the biltong shop. I had just opened my packet to enjoy my snack when my cellphone rang (this was about 5 minutes after entering the mall). It was my other son in Margate to tell me that my wife’s purse had been found by a young woman who wanted to return it to us.
Belinda found the purse in the main walkway, opened the purse and found a dental appointment card for Scottburgh and phoned them. They gave her my wife’s next of kin number on record, which was my son in Margate who phoned me, gave me Belinda’s number and we met up. I had my wife’s purse back before my wife even knew that she had lost it.
This young woman really saved us from the arduous task of having to renew cards and licences. We all know what that entails. Belinda ‘C’, you were an absolute star. Thanking you sincerely.
