This street light, along with several others in Uvongo has been burning day and night for years!
Just for the record, the accompanying photograph was taken at midday.
I brought this to the attention of Ugu and Eskom about two years ago, but no attempt has been made to switch these lights off during the day.
Almost on a daily basis I receive an sms from Eskom asking me to switch off swimming pool pump, geyser and other non-essential equipment to save electricity.
Isn’t it high time Eskom paid attention to municipalities which blatantly waste electricity?
