On behalf of the sponsors, Ugu South Coast Tourism, the Umtamvuna Tourism Committee, as well as Mac Banana, I would like to thank the South Coast Herald for the incredible coverage and support given to the Portuguese Mariners’ Food, Wine and Family Festival this past weekend.
Thousands of local and KZN-based visitors attended the festival this year and it was the help of the great coverage afforded to this community event that assisted organisers in exceeding festival footfall expectations.
I would also like to extend sincere thanks to Dave Kinsey of Munster for opening up his airstrip as a holding parking area for the festival ‘Park n Ride’ system. Without this additional parking space, we would have surely come ‘unstuck’ and would have had to turn visitors away.
By all accounts, the event was a resounding success that attracted record numbers of visitors as well as locals. Thank you for the part that the South Coast Herald played in making this event such a great success!
